About Us
Phoenix-Lamar is a manufacturer of custom electrical cables, wire harnesses, and related assemblies. We are a UL and CSA approved house, which prides itself in superior quality workmanship, accommodating service, and competitive pricing. Our client base includes a variety of customers, including manufacturers of computers and computer support systems, telecommunication companies, and applied geographical groups. Because of this diversity, we can approach you application with confidence that has been built from our 30-year history of quality and performance.
Our manufacturing group can skillfully produce large production runs and adapt to produce prototype quantities with the same precision. The shop features a variety of pneumatic and electric terminating equipment from AMP, TRW, Berg, Molex, Midland Ross, and Panduit. In addition, we have an Arburg plastic injection-molding unit for over molding of assemblies and related applications.
Our quality control department is separate from manufacturing, and has the authority to accept or reject incoming components and outgoing manufactured products. Continuity test equipment from Cablescan, P-Tronics and Cirris Electronics are utilized to provide 100 % electrical testing on each job. Visual and dimensional inspection is also performed along with intermediate assembly testing where applicable.
Engineering works closely with each client, reviewing drawings, assisting with design if needed, and pointing out potential problems before assemblies are put into production. Communication between our engineer and the engineering staff of our customers is important to insure assemblies are built to proper specifications.
Value Added-Since our production staff possesses a variety of assembly, soldering, and related technical skills, we are able to revise and assemble other products than the cable and wire harnesses, which we normally produce. Revisions include board repair, cable assembly reworks and a variety of other product adjustments. Also, we have customers who come to us for sub-assembly work on personal computers and other electronic equipment.
